What people are saying about us...
"Mark and his crew have been my in house tile and hardwood contractors since July of 2010. Since that time, they have built at least 30 showers, tiled dozens of floors, and installed 8 whole unit wood floors. They show up on time--they do what they say they will. The work quality is excellent and they are a pleasure to work with. I would recommend them to anyone." October 10, 2011.

"Big shower done right I'm a tile guy's worst nightmare -- detail oriented AND budget sensitive. But having lived through the consequences of three different "budget" tile guys in the past, I finally came to terms with "you get what you paid for". Mark wasn't the cheapest, nor the most expensive bid, but he did an excellent job for the money. Mark redid our enormous leaking custom shower in slate and glass tile. Ways in which it was excellent: - Great communicator, making it very clear what I would get, what tradeoffs were for different options, etc. - He showed up when he said he would and remained focused on this job throughout (I can't stress how important that is in a contractor) - He worked efficiently but didn't rush (i.e. didn't sacrifice quality) even though it was a fixed price bid (for the most part) - He rolled with the punches as the job grew to include carpentry (repair of rotted wood to the exterior) and plumbing and was ...

I would highly recommend Mark for any tiling work. I myself do a fair amount of contracting work but draw the line at tiling. Mark tiled my bath and shower area as part of a complete remodel I did to my master bathroom. I'm extremely particular about the quality of work that is being done and Mark lived up to that level of quality. As a contractor myself, I will definitely recommend Mark to clients for tile work and have him do more work on my own home because I know his work will undoubtedly meet the high quality that I seek. In addition to the tiling Mark was very helpful in making recommendations, suggestions and flexible with scheduling.

We both highly recommend this contractor... My wife and I hired Mark Johnson to remodel our Master Bathroom this past July. We were looking for a skilled artisan who could add value to our limited ideas and bring our vision together. We liked that he and his brother did all the work and didn't have any strangers in our home. He was always on time and treated our home as it was his own. His pricing was toward the high end, however, we were very pleased with the quality of the work and the design he created for us. We both highly recommend this contractor for anyone looking to remodel a bathroom on the Eastside.

New master bath My partner and I interviewed six tile contractors before choosing Eastside Tile and stone. We found Mark to have the most comprehensive bid with no surprises left for the end of the project. Our neighbors told us how difficult it can be to find a good tile contractor after their project with another tile company had a number of unresolved issues. We had Mark install a new shower for us with a tiled shower pan and a new floor with our favorite extra, heated tile! Although now our cat seems to think it's her new floor. I would highly recommend using ES Tile.

New House Construction Success! My husband and I just moved into our new house and are especially enjoying the beautiful bathrooms and kitchen that Eastside Tile & Stone put in for us. Mark was very accommodating in working around our other subs and our master carpenter. He showed up when he said he was going to show up (a remarkable thing in the building industry!) and efficiently completed his work. Mark not only did all the tile work but installed our WilsonArt laminate floors which we are getting many compliments on. But the most impressive thing that Mark did was insure that I was getting reliable and economical material prices. When it looked iffy on follow through with the first place he sent me to choose tile and laminate, he found another store that worked out perfectly. I totally recommend Eastside Tile & Stone for your home.

Superb remodeler - we used Mark for 2 major projects in a 2 year span At first we wanted to re-tile our 3000 Sqft home, so we put out bids and began our research. Out of 3 bids that we decided to take, MAJ's bid was the middle one in terms of cost. But of all three, his bid was absolutely "ON THE MONEY"! Of the three, we found Mark to be very courteous and understanding of our needs, he took the time to go over EVERYTHING that we were concerned about, he worked with OUR materials and even learned to manage my temperamental wife during his project work. Mark did the pool bath, with shower tile, (even installed the fixtures for us!) and the kitchen as well as the tiled bedrooms and common areas. The end result of that project: PERFECTLY done in 3 days. The next project was our master bath 2 years later. No bids his time - we called Mark hoping that he would be able to fit us into his schedule if my wife promised to curb her temperament. This was a fairly complicated job that involved tearing out everything and starting from scratch. Mark came through again! This time, we had a rough idea of the design but asked for Mark's opinion on several of the specifics. Everything worked great! We used about $50k in very high end materials for this project and Mark took care of the rest, including the framing, floor and wall tile (waynes coat), shower, plumbing and fixture installation (Grohe, MAXX, Kholer). The only thing Mark would not do for us was the walled texture and paint. That was too crazy for him and we wound up finding a guy who worked on several Disney hotels in Orlando for the wall texture/paint project. Feel free to ask Mark to show you pictures of his fabulous work that he has done for us! The sad part is that Mark is now in Redmond and we are in Tampa. When we determine when our next project is to take place, we will seriously talk to Mark about flying him back down here and putting him up for the duration! Our recommendation: MAJ Construction Less
